On April 15th, advanced diploma program in the International College successfully passed the audit of Scottish Qualifications Management Board (SQA) system. David McAllister, the SQA external auditor, spoke highly of our standard and rigorous management in school running. He pointed out that it is rare to see a college which can 26 indicators with the “highest trust level” at one time.

Through this external audit, SQA conducted a comprehensive review and evaluation on our teaching and management for the past four years. Many perspectives has been audited this time, such as college operation, software and hardware facilities, student support, examination internal audit process, and data archiving. During the external audit, the external auditor assessed and reviewed the teaching system and operation of the advanced diploma program through auditing materials, communicating with teacher representatives and coordinators, and visiting the college. At the feedback meeting of the external review, Mr. McAllister fully affirmed the high standard and profession of our school running, and highly praised the expertise of our teachers and the collaboration of the teaching team. Ms. Huang Guanhua, the vice dean, expressed her gratitude to Mr. McAllister for his arrival and her appreciation to the great efforts the teachers made. She hoped that with the constructive advices provided by the external auditors, everyone could improve the systematic teaching system of the advanced diploma program.

Since the opening of advanced diploma program in 2006, more than 3,000 students from 12 years have continued their studies in overseas cooperative institutions, with the rate of enrollment remaining at above 93%. What’s more, nearly 70% of the students choose to continue their master's degree in overseas universities after graduation. In recent years, our college has successfully SQA external audit, with 100% one-time pass. The teaching quality has also been praised by SQA and the counterparts.
