Associate Professor Sun Ming-ju from Birmingham City University gave an academic lecture in our college
On the afternoon of March 25, Dr. Sun Mingru, associate professor of finance at Birmingham City University, gave a lecture on how does artificial intelligence change employment in the financial sector at the C206 of Kunluan Building. Students majoring in finance, accounting and so on attended the lecture.

In the lecture, associate Professor Sun Mingru focused on the opportunities and changes that artificial intelligence will bring to the financial field, enumerating the applications of artificial intelligence such as NUMERAI, GLOBAL ANALYTICS, ALPHASENSE in the financial industry. And from the aspects of machine learning and statistical model, she describes the application and expansion of artificial intelligence in fund management, risk management, anti-financial fraud, financial cost management and so on and learning from machines. She hopes that students do not be confined to the study of textbook theory, take the initiative to understand the forward development trend of the industry, make career planning in advance and actively respond to the development and change of the industry in the future in order to adapt to the progress of the society. Finally, she introduced the academic advantages of accounting, finance and other majors at Birmingham City University, as well as the curriculum, industry qualification and employment prospects of graduates.
