Nine projects among them, which are the model of home-based care in the sharing economy, the network culture studio, the impact of the rural revitalization strategy on rural economic development, the survey of foreign students' employment situation in China under the “Belt and Road”, and the new development direction of the retail industry in the Internet age, the Bilingual Culture Studio-edutainment, research on the success of accurate poverty alleviation and taking Pinghe County as an example, the investigation and research of financial and risk analysis models in SMEs, the exploration of cultural product grading system, were approved at the school level. Green plum cooking column, investigation on the awareness of disaster prevention among tourists from coastal tourist cities in China, investigation on the trial and compilation of the comprehensive financial report of Xiamen Municipal Government, research on the influence of “Korean restrictions” on the understanding of Korean culture, and the status quo and development of Chinese sex education. The exploration of the model—taking the case of Xiamen City as an example, the problems faced by the contemporary humanities education model reflected by the Marxist curriculum learning have been approved by the college. These projects may focus on hot-button social problems, or combine the characteristics of the two academies, or exert their professional expertise, which is highly innovative and exploratory.

Under the guidance of the university, which aims at continuously deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, the International college has further intensified efforts to encourage teachers and students to actively take part in mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and the enthusiasm of teachers and students to participate in science and technology competition has been notably enhanced, as well as students' ability to innovate.  Last year, the project led by Ziming LIU and directed by teacher Bin HONG which called “Economic Transformation and Sustainable Development of Ancient Villages” successfully won the national project of “National College Students' Entrepreneurship Program”. This October, at the 4th China College Students “Internet Plus” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition held by Xiamen University, the project “Nokangde: the world's first CECT-NK therapy to overcome leukemia” won the gold medal.
