On the evening of October 17, 2016, sharing session for Summer Social Practice was carried out in Room A305, Kunlun Building. Wu Weiping, deputy secretary of the Party committee, Jiang Yuta, secretary of the Youth League Committee, counselor Wu Jing and Jiang Zhenxing were invited to attend. Seven representatives from practice teams took turns to demonstrate their rich social practice to the participating teachers and students.

 Party building poverty alleviation special research group

The first team showed the party building poverty alleviation special research group. The team was guided by Zheng Wei, teacher from the Marxist College, conducting an investigation on the precise poverty-alleviation policies in recent years. The group visited three poor villages in Ningde and summed up the pros and cons of the accurate poverty-alleviation policy.

The second team is the “latitude 48 degrees” practice team, they emphasized on the visit and survey of three historical monuments, proposing specific programs for the development of historical and cultural village. They also deeply understood that a survey practice could not solve many problems, and powers of all parties of communitiy are needed to develop the villages.

As for “Yan Si Du Xing” team, the third practice team, went to Xi'an Jiaotong University and Ningbo University of Nottingham and interviewed the relevant person in charge of the school in summer vocations. They found that there are many ways of the two universities are worth of reference.

“Jian Wei Zhi Zhu” team concerned about the development and integration of traditional Chinese enterprises and the modern enterprise. They visited the Tong Ren Tang, Pien Tze Huang, Cologne food, Xie Fuchun, four historical and famous enterprises, to understand their developmental situation, and finally reached the conclusions that traditional famous enterprises still need to overcome many subjective and objective difficult in order to maintain dominant in the realm.

“Cheng Yu Ruo Chuang” team concerned about the current status of young people in the southwest. They visited the Internet Industry Park in the northern part of Chongqing, “FeiChang coffee”, “Chengdu E78 youth space” and some other business bases. They believe that the government, entrepreneurship platform and entrepreneurial individuals to work together are needed for national entrepreneurship and innovation.

Qianyu Chihiro practice team went to Taiwan to understand the local aboriginal intermarriage and cultural integration. They visited many local museums and universities and interviewed many aboriginals. After they generally understand the history of Aboriginal culture, how the small nations keep their own culture in the changeable era caused their reflection.

Footprints of “Shang Hai You Dao” team had spread over the Yangtze River Delta region. They visited around and entered a number of electric companies and cross-border cargo transit warehouses, in order to get the most cutting-edge data to study the future development trend of cross-border electricity providers. They adopted many advanced aprroaches to obtain materials, with professional knowledge of the market situation, which made participating teachers and students amazed.

In this activity, the seven practice teams not only demonstrated their experience and sentiment, but also make participating students learn wealthy outside knowledge. The seven practice teams are only a small part of the hundreds of practical teams in our school. However, through their own efforts, they also demonstrated the qualities such as diligence, enterprising and honest of students of Xiamen University to the community. They carefully experienced the well-being and chillness of Chinese society, and they are weaving dreams with their own hands, when they are doing contributions to society bit by bit in the process of practice.
