On May 30th, the International College held a grand meeting of the ten anniversary at library lecture hall of Xiangan campus. More than ten overseas partner universities from Britain, Ireland, the United States、alumni representatives、parent representatives、Other departments of the school.

Brother College Leaderships、Staff and student representatives of more than 600 people had a joyous gathering to celebrate the international college’s 10 years birthday. Professor Wu Daguang (Vice President of Xiamen University), Professor Zheng Tongtao (Dean of International College) , Muldowney Gerry(Chancellor of Dublin Business College in Ireland,)Dyke Martin,(Associate Dean, School of education of University of Southampton, UK) attended the meeting and delivered a speech and gave the common expression of the college's achievements in the congratulations, Looked forward to the future development of the college, and the blessed the college has a better future. Professor Duncan Ian and Miss Lily , combining with the experience of teaching and educating , expressed the wishes of the development of the college, the expectations of the growth of students. Representatives of the students' parents Ding Meiying and International College Alumni representatives also took to the stage to speak, thanks to the college's cultivation, thanks to the guidance of the teacher. Assistant to the Chancellor, Li Chuhuan, Tan Shaobin, Teng Bogang, Wang Ruifang, Wang Ruifang, Dean of the Jiageng college participated in the celebration. The conference was chaired by Wang Yi, deputy secretary of the International College. 

Wu Daguang expressed warm congratulations to the 10 anniversary of International College. He started from the difficult courses of the beginning of the International Academy, fully affirmed the development of the International College in a short period of several years. He pointed out that, along with the school of international development, more and more students go out of school, set sights on the world, more than 2400 graduates of the International College have foreign learning experience, from this point of view, International College is absolutely one of the highest degree of internationalization of the Xiamen University. The international College’s grades, largely due to its extensive cooperation with more than 60 of the world famous university, we hope that the International College in the next ten years can continue to deepen “win-win cooperation” with the world famous universities and go on a new step of improving the research level and training academic talent.

Zheng Tongtao appreciated the strong support from the school and Cooperative institutions for a long time development of college, appreciated the staff ’s hard-working for the development of the college, appreciated friends’ the attention and support to the development of the College. He looked back on the ten years of school running and development from the perspective of international teaching philosophy, teaching staff, personnel training, overseas cooperation and so on. In the direction of development on the international school in the future, Zheng Tongtao said, we will continue to expand the cooperative projects with high level universities from all over the world, especially strengthen the education cooperation with “The Belt and Road Initiative”contries. In the future, we will strive to create two-way platformofChina students accepting foreign education and providing Chinese education for foreign students , focus on building a demonstration base of education internationalization and Sino foreign educational cooperation.

According to reports, in order to celebrate the ten anniversary of the International College, The school also held some activities such as “Ten-year development history exhibition”, students and alumni art show, basketball tournament,  Alumni Forum  .

Up to now,the International College has cooperated with more than and 60 well-known universities from Britain, Ireland, Japan, the United States, Australia and other countries to develop undergraduate and postgraduate education. The disciplines include education, art, economy, management, information technology and other fields. The college teachers have more than 90% Foreign University Master degree. More than 2,400 International College graduates have gone to the cooperative universities from the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada and other countries for study.
