‘A head of curly hair, a round belly...’ The first impression of Cormac that gives a person was kind, talkative and self-confidence. He is a teacher from Dublin business school, and now teaching the course ‘financial management’ for grade 12 students in International College. Cormac is a native Dublin, which is the capital of Ireland, and where the climate is similar to Xiamen - ‘But now at this time, Xiamen is much colder than Ireland, colder than imagination’, he said jokingly.

In his view, like other European countries, there are many low houses in Ireland, but it is a very comfortable place.This is the first time he came to China. Before coming to China, he has been teaching finance courses for nine years in Dublin business school, and has rich experience in ACCA exam guidance.He told us that the Dublin business school’s ACCA passing rate is relatively high. The Dublin business school, he said confidently, had received many foreign students including the Chinese students. So Dublin business school has rich experience in dealing with international students.
When it comes to International College, he thought the whole hardware facilities of the college is very impressive. International College’s students are high level students with passion and efforts. He also expected our students to experience the life and study in Ireland. At the same time, he also had high hopes for our students, thought that International College students have huge development space and opportunities, especially getting good grades of ACCA. For Dublin project, he said, although this is a new project, with the constant development and improvement, it will develop better and better, more and more successful. Cormac is told us that his visit to China would last about six week. After that there will be more teachers from Dublin come to International College of Xiamen university to teach more courses.
Cormac considered, in the learning, the first key is be careful. Secondly, he suggested that we should make plans for learning and future in advance, implement the plan and stick to it. Finally, he also suggested that we should learn to use some learning skills, such as mind mapping and so on. It can help us learn, let us to better grasp the learning and memory of knowledge.
He also gave us some guidance in life. Because Ireland's consumption level is relatively high, he suggested that the students learn some cooking skills, that allows us to better take care of themselves in Ireland.
