The University of Southampton visit, following July after President Chu led a delegation to visit the UK visit, the main purpose is to dwell on the letter of intent agreed last visits. National Oceanography Centre of the University is the largest marine research institutions around the world, gathered many leading marine research elites. The school has trained a group of internationally renowned alumni, among them in the design of Intel Pentium processors,John Hyde and the world's largest ocean-going sailing passenger ship Queen Mary II designer, Steven Peinuo.
