Tell Chinese Story Well with Brand Case——IC Faculty Members Were Invited to Participate in the Online Teaching of Nottingham Trent University in the UK

On the afternoon of March 13th, Associate Professor Yang Shuai, Head of the Professional Teaching and Research Group of International College(IC), Xiamen University was invited to give an online lecture for the CO LAB program of Nottingham Trent University. After the lecturer of Nottingham Trent University completed the theoretical explanation for the British students and Chinese students who were online at the same time, Ms. Yang shared the changes in the consumption trend of the Chinese coffee market with the title of "A China's Unicorn - Luckin Coffee", and gradually guided students to think about how to conduct market analysis and how to develop a business marketing strategy with the successful business marketing case of the Chinese company - Luckin Coffee., which brought a wonderful sharing for students from China and the UK to better understand the Chinese market and successful brands in China.


The CO LAB (collaborative online international learning) program at Nottingham Trent University in the United Kingdom is a form of joint laboratory program,  that is, using Internet technology, teachers from partner universities teach online together, and invite students from different schools to complete the course project together. Starting from 2022, Nottingham Trent University in the UK jointly carries out this activity with IC, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and other institutions. In the joint teaching, the professional level and teaching ability of IC teachers left a deep impression on the partner universities.


"After the study, I felt the fun and importance of international learning. The class was attended by Chinese and British teachers and students, and I learned about the differences between Chinese and British marketing strategies. We worked in small groups with my classmates from Nottingham Trent University, which not only allowed me to understand the needs of the marketing market in the UK, but also honed my English listening and speaking skills. In the future, International College will actively innovate international cooperation methods, continue to carry out joint teaching with foreign partner universities, explore new breakthroughs in teaching modes, share international education resources, tell Chinese story to the world, and promote deep international cooperation and exchanges between universities.
