In order to further learn fire safety knowledge and enhance the daily fire safety awareness of teachers and students, on the morning of March 29, under the leadership of Ma Xianghua, Deputy Secretary of the party committee of International College(IC), the college organized more than 40 teachers and student representatives to visit the fire rescue station in Zhangzhou Development Zone.

At the beginning of the activity, the firefighters first popularized the basic knowledge of fire safety to the teachers and students, and explained the use and use of fire extinguishers, ring cutters, life-saving throwers and other fire-fighting equipment and emergency rescue equipment one by one. At the same time, the firefighters also demonstrated how to correctly use fire extinguishers, wear firefighting suits and air breathing apparatus, and instructed teachers and students to experience wearing the equipment. Through practice, everyone experienced the hardships and courage of firefighters.

Subsequently, everyone observed the daily training of the fire rescue team, and the fire fighters demonstrated rope climbing, high-altitude rope rappelling, ladder rescue, etc., showing the strong ability of the firefighters.

Finally, under the guidance and protection of the firefighters, the teachers and students actively experienced the skills such as climbing high rocks, descending from high altitudes, rappelling and riding ladders. After the event, the teachers and students thanked the instructors for their guidance and drills with warm applause, and everyone said that they had gained a lot. After trying on the firefighting suit and riding the ladder, Luo said excitedly: "The firefighting suit is really heavy, and it is really not easy to rescue at high altitude. “ Mr. Wang also said, "I am sincerely grateful to our great firefighters, and we couldn’t live a safe and happy life without their guarding!"

This visit not only helped teachers and students to have an in-depth understanding of fire safety knowledge, enhance self-protection, self-rescue and teamwork skills in response to fires, but also further improved the fire safety management level of the college and create a safe and harmonious campus environment.
