On November 17, a video conference was held to review the external audit feedback for the Graded Unit 1 of the Global Trade and Business program under the CSCSE-SQA Advanced Diploma (AD) framework. During the meeting, Mr. Iain Walker, the external auditor, announced that the program had received the highest evaluation rating of "High Confidence." This achievement marks the successful completion of the 2025 external quality audit by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA), with all six professional courses of the Global Trade and Business program passing the review at the highest confidence level in a single submission. The annual program quality audit has thus been successfully concluded.

The external audit comprehensively covered the overall program indicators of the Global Trade and Business program and the review of six specialized courses. The assessment scope included both newly introduced courses undergoing their first external audit and subjects taught by newly appointed faculty members. To ensure the smooth progress of the audit, the academic team of International College(IC), Xiamen University(XMU) worked in close collaboration, providing mutual support and strengthening full-chain quality control of the curriculum. Through rigorous implementation of indicator systems and multiple measures such as collective discussions and blind review of assessment materials, the team significantly enhanced teaching quality and management standards, earning high recognition from the external auditor.
The external audit of the CSCSE-SQA Advanced Diploma program serves as a rigorous examination and comprehensive evaluation of IC's educational quality for the academic year. For years, IC has consistently passed both the programmatic and course-level external audits with the highest confidence rating in a single submission. This achievement stands as a powerful testament to the college's continuous improvement in its teaching management system and its unwavering commitment to educational quality and talent development outcomes. It also marks a solid foundation as the college embarks on its next journey following the 20th anniversary milestone.
In the future, IC will continue to strictly adhere to the SQA professional teaching and management standards, consistently advance teaching reforms, optimize talent development programs, and promote higher-quality sustainable development of the program.
