 Profile

Xu Jia joined the International College of Xiamen University in 2008 as an English teacher. She has taught a range of English courses, including ESOL, comprehensive English and IELTS related courses.

She obtained a bachelor degree in English Literature and passed TEM4 and TEM8. After that she gained a master degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics in Foreign Languages and her main research interest is in the area of translation theory and practice. In 2009, she was appointed as the examiner in National Proficiency Test of Mandarin by Mandarin Testing Agency of Xiamen University, since then she has been responsible for testing the candidate' s Mandarin level in every National Proficiency Test of Mandarin held in Xiamen University.

1、2009.07  till now, tester at the Putonghua Test Station of Xiamen University and have served as an examiner for the Putonghua Proficiency Test in Fujian Province on multiple occasions.

2、2007.12 Participated in the English subject proposition work for the Xinjiang self-study examination in January 2008.。

3、2006.12 Participated in the English proposition work for the January 2007 Hainan self-study examination.

4、2006.09-2007.12 served as a part-time English teacher at the Continuing Education College of Changsha University of Technology, teaching courses such as College English and Civil Engineering English.

5、2006.09.26 As a young volunteer of the translation team for the First China Central Region Investment and Trade Expo

6. In July 2009, I was appointed as the examiner in National Proficiency Test of Mandarin by Mandarin Testing Agency of Xiamen University, since then I have been responsible for testing the candidate’s Mandarin level in every National Proficiency Test of Mandarin held in Xiamen University.
