In the morning of October 27, Ms. Louisa Jones, Senior Manager in charge of strategic partnership in the School of Exhibition and Tourism Management in the University of Central Lancashireand Ms. Ge Jifei, China Regional Manager, visited the International College.Dean Professor Zheng Tao, Deputy Dean Lv Zixuan, Project Secretary Chen Jianru, Ms Gong Rongxiu warmly welcomed visitors. The two sides held a forum in Room B509 in the Kun Luan Building .

At the forum, Deputy Dean Lv Zixuan extended warm welcome to Ms. Louisa Jonesand other visitors, and recalled the cooperation and communication of the two universities. Ms Louisa Jones said she hoped to establish a more in-depth cooperation with the International College in this visit so that both sides could discuss more about the cooperation in teaching and setting curriculumon the basis of previous discussions. Currently, the University of Central Lancashire has 11 world-class research programs, 17 outstanding international courses, including Fashion, Media, Journalism and Hotel Management. Many of its courses rank the top in the UK.

Ms. Louisa Jones proposed that our college should seize the courses expansion opportunity to explore cooperation in degree programs in Hotel Management. The unique Sandwich Courses of the University of Central Lancashire, that is, students can choose to engage in practical work in big companies and institutions in the intern year to get real wages, which will also enrich students’ work experience and reduce economic pressure on parents.

After discussion, the two sides reached a consensus on the mode of course cooperation. Based on the common goal, both universities will provide more opportunities for the exchange of the students. The two sides will strive to explorethe "1 + 2" Cooperation Pattern in 2015.
