May 29, Director of Development and Cooperation Center of University of Central Lancashire, Mr. Jia Xi and regional representative of China Ge Jifei visited our college. The main purpose of this trip was to seek details on the cooperation between International College and the University of Central Lancashire and to sign an agreement, meanwhileto discuss the possibility of their future cooperation in other areas. Dean of Overseas Education College and International College Zheng Tongtao met with the guests, Director of the Office Huang Guanhua, project secretary Chen Jianru and other related teachers attended the meeting.

Director Jia introduced the development of University of Central Lancashire in the process of internationalization, especially in theprofessional fields of Hotel Management and Leisure Management and other professional highlights, and fully affirmed the fruitful exchanges and cooperation between the two universities over the years achieved. Previously, University of Central Lancashire had visitedour college several times, the two parties had reached a preliminary agreementonfurther co-operation in the professional field of Hotel Management. The International College intends to refer tothe present projects launched by University of Central Lancashire in Chinato consider expanding areas of cooperation and explore the viability in the creation of leisure industry and business English. For the future, Jia hoped to further cooperation and provide more and better opportunities for the teachers and students of the two universities to communicate.
Dean Zheng expressed his welcome to the representatives of University of Central Lancashire and affirmed the long-term support and cooperation between the two universities. University of Central Lancashire UK is one of partner university of the International College of Xiamen University, and since the beginning of cooperation there has been many outstanding students who enrolled in the school and completed their studies successfully in the UK. He hoped that the University of Central Lancashire to provide more options for students in professional settings, more detailed course information and support services, and faculty exchanges and academic research should also be expanded.
After the meeting, Director Jia invitedDean Zheng to go to the University of Central Lancashire UK for a site visitin order to provide a basis for further implementation of the project.
