In the afternoon of November 20,Professor Alex Neil--Vice President of the University of Southampton--visited the International College. Professor Zheng Tong Tao---the Dean of the college,Vice President Lv Zaixuan, English teachers , and the project teamwarmly welcomed the visitors, and they held a conference in Room B409 of the Kun Luan Buildin.

In the meeting, at first Dean Zheng expressed his welcome to Professor Alex Neil and his party and briefly described the development, foreign exchanges and cooperation of the college. He also presented his views on how to further strengthen the bilateral exchanges and cooperation, enhance the level of cooperation in running schools, and expand areas of cooperation.

Professor Alex Neil, Vice President of the University of Southampton, briefly introduced the teaching and development of personnel training of their school, and expressed his gratitude for the support of our college to build the language center . He said that, with his liberal background, he fully understood the importance of the language center to the Faculty of Humanities, and he was very optimistic about the co-development of the language center.

At the meeting, the two sides also discussed about the cooperation in the development of the undergraduate program of artdesign and the postgraduate program of education. Both sides said that they would further expand the scope of cooperation between the two universities in the future and seek to achieve new breakthroughs in the wider areas.
