On March 9, 2015, Vice President of the University of Southampton, Professor Mark Spearing visit the international college. Our dean, Professor,ZhengTongtao, Deputy Dean Fu Wanli, Huang Guanhuang, LvZixuan and project secretary Chen Jianru met with them. Both party carried out in-depth discussion about further cooperation.

During the meeting, Professor Zheng gave a brief introduction about the development of the international college, and reviewed cooperated projects since 2008 including art design undergraduate project, joint master of education, and the language center established last year. Professor Zheng said both new and previous projects have made great achievement. He hoped that talent training and academic research could be cooperated further in the future. 

Vice President Spearing spoke highly of the education internationalization of our achievements and the operation of various cooperation projects. He said both sides have a broad space for cooperation and good cooperative basis. Main purpose of this visit is to know the detailed requirements of the two sides appeared in the process of cooperation, and discuss the staffing requirements, curriculum setting of the language center, communication issues between teachers and students, and other issues.
