Universiti Brunei Darussalam is one of our partner universities. The university was founded in 1985 and is a small public research university. Universiti Brunei Darussalam is the oldest and largest university in Brunei. As the only one university in Brunei, it is the center of higher education and scientific research in Brunei. Students are taught in English.

In the summer of 2015, our school will organize students to attend the summer program of Universiti Brunei Darussalam from August 2 to August 30. Please see Appendix 1 for more information.

一、Application requirements：

 1. Full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students；

 2. Academic excellence, all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique；

 3. Excellent English.

二．Program description：

This project focuses on four topics: language and culture, history of Brunei, industry and commerce, and environmental science. As a smaller Islamic country, its vibrant social culture and economic development has attracted the attention of the world. Through 42 hours of learning and variety of field trips, students are able to learn and experience the history and culture of Brunei and understand the mysteries of its economic development.

 August 2-August 30, 2015

四、Program fee：

All courses are free of charge, other expenses such as accommodation, international travel, insurance, passport and visa fees should be paid by the students themselves. living costs for 4 weeks is about $1500. Students who take part in the project are required to purchase international travel insurance.

五、Application procedures：

 1. Log in the official website of Universiti Brunei Darussalam（cec.ubd.edu.bn），download and fill out the application form；

 2. Send the application form to email：globaldiscovery.cec@ubd.edu.bn；

 3. Download and fill out《2015 summer program application form》（Appendix 2）and send to: xmuinternational@126.com before April 30;

 4.Download and fill out《Application form for XMU overseas exchange program》（Appendix 3）and《XMU overseas exchange program consent》（Appendix4），and submit paper materials to Teacher Zheng in the International office 801(Jiageng main building) before April 30；

 5. The application materials will be assessed and Universiti Brunei Darussalam will have final confirmation for the qualified applicants。

六、Warm prompt:

1.If you don't have a passport for registration, please apply for a passport as early as possible；

2.Select only one program released in the same period of the summer programs and please do the overall planning；

3. Once the application is successful, please pay attention to the safety of travel, purchase insurance and comply with local laws and regulations and school rules and regulations.
