On October 21, Hayao Saki, the president of Shizuoka Sangyo University, and Ji Tiankehong, the director of the International Exchange Center, visited the International College. Dean Tao Tao and Deputy Dean Huang Guanhua, together with our faculties gave the guests a reception and held a discussion in Conference Room B309.

Dean Tao first gave a warm welcome to President Sakizaki and his team, and then briefly introduced the recent international cooperation and exchanges of the college. He pointed out that since 2007 both sides have started the exchange and cooperation project, which constantly strengthened their contacts and jointly developed the undergraduate project. Through this visit, the two sides would continue to exchange views on issues such as courses on linking-up Chinese and Japanese, teacher visits, and inter-school exchanges. Our closer cooperation and mutual benefits were certain to be enhanced.

President Sakizaki expressed his gratitude for the reception from the International College. After President Tao's visit to Japan in last December, the two sides have further developed a more stable platform which brought more learning and exchange opportunities for our students. As more and more students preferred to select Sino-Japanese programs recently, President Sakizaki stated that he would prepare in advance for providing necessary assistance for International students who plan to go further education at Shizuoka University. Besides, he introduced the teaching facilities and living conditions of international college students in Japan and welcomed our leaders to head to Shizuoka Sangyo University for a visit.

After that, President Sakisaki and President Tim had a discussion with 93 students of our college's Sino-Japanese project in C104 for about one and a half hours. President Sakizaki shared the experiences of studying abroad with students and encouraged everyone to make great effort to lay a solid foundation for their study abroad. Mr. Ji Tian also shared his experience in learning foreign languages. The students from the Sino-Japanese project were all active in the questioning session, so the atmosphere was friendly and enthusiastic.
