Dean TAO Tao’s Visit in Japan

From December 12th to 15th, Dean TAO Tao led a delegation to visit cooperating Japanese universities, Chinese and Japanese cultural exchanges agency, and also visited the students of our college who are now studying in Japan. The members of the delegation included office directors HUANG Cheng and Professor CHEN Duanduan.



 This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relationship between the International College and the Shizuoka University of Technology in Japan. The delegation was hospitably welcomed by Shizuoka University of Technology. Principal Sakizaki Yukio, Vice President Ryokawa Chihiro, University Affairs Director Nakajima Kenji, head of Department of Management, Dan Yu Yuichi, Chairman of the International Department of Information Science, Xiaogu Neiyuhong, and International Division Chief, Ji Tiankehong attended the welcome discussion meeting. President Masaki Makizaki expressed welcome to President TAO Tao and his delegation. He said that since the 10th anniversary of the cooperation between the two sides, Xiamen University International College has sent ten groups of students to study at Shizuoka University of Technology. The two sides have a good foundation for cooperation. He sincerely hoped that the two sides continue to maintain close cooperation, and Shizuoka University of Technology will also do its utmost to take care of and cultivate the students from our college. Dean Tao then expressed his gratitude to Shizuoka University of Technology for his careful guidance and care for the students. He had adequate confidence in the future cooperation. Dean Tao also approved to keep the student joint training project and continue to promote friendly relations.


 

After the meeting, Dean Tao and delegation first went to the Putian Campus and meet more than 30 students studying at the university. Dean Tao and students had a cordial discussion and examined the facilities that students spent studying and living in Shizuoka. During the discussion, Dean Tao expressed his deep concern for the students and used his study abroad experience in Japan 25 years ago to inspire the students to work hard to realize their dreams. He listened carefully to the voices of the students and conveyed the hope and warmth of the college to the students. He believed that that the students would unite abroad, study hard, use all kinds of resources to enrich themselves, and lay a solid foundation for future development.


 

Dean Tao also visited the Dadong Culture University in Tokyo, and had a discussion with the head of the Department of International Cooperation of the International Affairs Office of Daito Culture University, Masahiro Nakajima, and Director of the Chinese Language Department of the Department of Foreign Languages, Yamauchi Tomomi. The two sides discussed the dispatch of students to overseas education colleges to study undergraduate, study remote projects and 2+2 student joint training projects.


 

During his visit to Tokyo, Dean TAO Tao and his delegation were invited to exchange opinions on overseas Chinese education and other issues, such as the Fujian Cultural Overseas Exchange Station, the Fuqing Huanghua Culture Promotion Association, and the Asia Pacific Tourism Association.
