On the afternoon of November 5^th, being sponsored by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, ‘Overseas-Study Consulting Fair’ was undertaken successfully by the International College of Xiamen University in Room B102, Kunluan Building. This Consulting Fair received strong support from both Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange and nearly twenty cooperating foreign universities and colleges. And GUO Jianhang, the chairman of Beijing Yinghong International Education Co., Ltd, came to this Consulting Fair to give some guidance. The representatives from Britain, Australia, Singapore, Hungary etc. and working group of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange also gave students centralized and overall guidance of the project before they go abroad.

Before the Overseas-Study Consulting Fair, Mr. WANG Hongti，the head of working group of Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange delivered an Study Abroad Instruction Speech in Room B102, Kunluan Building. He made an overall instruction of job function of the working group, service available and study abroad program etc. to senior students and gave a site guidance on update study abroad policies and the transaction of the procedure of studying abroad. Besides the International College also distributed Study Abroad Handbook 2018 to all attendees.

The atmosphere of Overseas-Study Consulting Fair is active. Through this activity students made detailed consultation on all aspects, such as the specific requirement of IELTS score of each college, university rankings by subject, graduation rate, academic atmosphere and so on. The representatives of foreign colleges answered the questions put forward by students in detail and particularly introduced the information about the cooperating foreign colleges, admission requirement and the setting of course and so on through propagandist manual and videos.

The college exchange came to a complete success in a relaxing and joyful atmosphere. Lots of students said that the success of holding this Overseas-Study Consulting Fair not only drew their distance with foreign colleges close which enables them to communicate with teachers from foreign colleges face-to-face but also attained the first-hand information of foreign universities and study abroad policies to lay the foundation of studying abroad in the future. This college exchange conference is the tenth “Overseas-Study Consulting Fair” held by International College. International College held Overseas-Study Consulting Fair every year to strengthen the cooperation and communication with foreign colleges. Overseas-Study Consulting Fair is a Sino-foreign educational cooperation program which is co-developed by Chinese Service Center and Scottish Qualification Authority. In this program students are going to study in China for the first three years, then they continue to spend one year in the chosen country to get a bachelor degree and one more year to obtain Master degree, which is regarded as 3+1+1 pattern.
