The International College resumed the classes in the afternoon of September 18th whenthe 14thtyphoon Meranti left Xiamen. Meranti hit the coast of Xiang’an in Xiamen and had slammed the area, leaving thecampus damaged. The university cancelled the classes in the afternoon of the 15th to ensure safety. All classes have been resumed this morning.


Each classroom had been examined before classes to ensure safety, including desks, chairs, doors, windows, fans, floors and hygiene.

The library has reopened.

After the typhoon lashed Xiamen, students, faculty members and support crew are sweeping roads and cleaning rubbish. They are trying to do what they can to recover the beautiful campus.
