Internal Language Test from Birmingham City University
pubdate: 2016/03/28 views:

The Director of the Language Centre of Birmingham City University (BCU), Steve and Admission Officer, Mr. Ji Cheng came to our college for the internal language test on the morning of 28 March. The test was aimed for our 2013 HND and 2014 Art students, as well as some students from outside.

The internal language test from BCU has four parts: listening, reading, writing and speaking. Listening was held at Rooms B308 and B312 of Building 4, and speaking was held at Room B309 of Building 2 on Xiang’an Campus. The procedures and assessment are similar to those of IELTS.

Due to the changes in VISA policy this year, the IELTS test seats certificated by UKVI are limited. Therefore, the internal test provides a good chance for those students who want to apply for BCU but have not taken IELTS. Candidates whose scores meet the requirement can enroll in academic courses of BCU without an IELTS score.

Founded in 1843, Birmingham City University has three campuses and four teaching areas, with nearly 23,000 students. Its Education, Communications and Media and Art Design were rated the 18th, 27th and 28th respectively in Times Rankings by subject in 2015. Its business school offers professional certificated courses, e.g. ACCA, CIM and CIB.
