Prof. Shi Zumei, the former Deputy Director of Fujian Provincial Department of Education and present President of Fujian Education Association for International Exchange (FEAIE) inspected our college on the morning of 4 March, accompanied by Secretary General, Mr. Wu Jinxing and Director of Business Development Department, Mr. Ji Gesheng. Prof. Zheng Tongtao, the Dean of the International College and the Deputy Dean, Ms. Huang Guanhua warmly received them and the two parties had a discussion on profound cooperation in international education projects.

In the conference, Dean Zheng gave a brief introduction to the development of the International College in recent years and the achievements it has made in co-operating with overseas colleges and universities from the UK, the US, Australia and Japan as well as the characteristics of the programmes. He expected that the International College could get further direction and support from FEAIE in project cooperation, conferences and symposiums, as well as trainings and exchanges.

Having known our college’seducation features, its Sino-foreign co-operational education background and the achievements made in the 11 years since its founding, President Shi expressed his admiration for our college’s vision, i.e., to promote the internationalization of Fujian’s education reforms, to develop itself into the biggest international educational base of Southeast China and to cultivate international and comprehensive talents for the strategy of “One Belt and One Road”.

President Shi pointed out that our province’s international education exchanges have kept expanding, with the levelsrising and the development accelerating, which has fostered the eruptionof individuals studying abroad, interschool exchanges and overseas trainings. He said, in accordance withour own features, the International Collegecould draw support from FEAIE to promote the multi-level and wide-scope exchanges between Fujian Province and sectors both home and abroad, so as to meet the social needs for high-quality education from abroad.
