As the 2013 class application for degree courses kicked off, admission representatives of the partnership universities started their briefing on up-dated information for colleges and enrollment. Since November, the International College has received guest from De Montfort University, University of Northampton, Birmingham City University, and University of Central Lancashire.

At 15:00 Nov. 3rd, Mr. LI Zhouxing from De Montfort University met the prosperous third-year students in Room B 209. He elaborated basic facts of the university and entry requirements, and also introduced learning experiences of one DMU graduate. The advice on study, life and travel was so practical that audience found it of great help.

Starting at 16:00 on Nov. 4, Ms LI Xia from University of Northampton continued the briefing on the application procedure. Her induction provided better insight into the University, especially the Business School, which ranked Top 10 around the UK and attracted Chinese applicants for its language environment and rich scholarship.

Mr. Jake, Admission Representative from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) lectured to students on Nov. 10th. As a British public university with over 100-year history, UCLan excels its teaching in Hospitality management, leisure, entertainment and tourism, which ranked Top 3 in the UK. Jake shared with students his personal experience as an America living and learning in England. The differences between British and American English, as well as stories of culture shock brought joy to his life in the UK.

Lectures as such provide lively and direct experiences for the third-year HND students, as they would pursue their overseas learning soon. Locating the degree courses and university suitable to the individual needs would aspire them to realise their potential in learning and personal development.
