Major briefing meeting for 2013 CSCSE-SQA HND students was held in Room A401 Kuanluan Building on 10th June afternoon. Representatives of teachers, teaching secretary and all the 2013 CSCSE-SQA HND students participated in the meeting, and the meeting was chaired by instructor Su De.

During the meeting, representatives of teachers Yang Shuai,, Liu Jiali and Wu Xiaohong combined their own study abroad and working experience, introduced the course design and employment direction for all the CSCSE-SQA HND majors, which including Global Trade and Business, Financial Services, Business with Accounting, Hospitality Management, Business, Business with Marketing, Supply Chain Management (Non-Manufacturing), Computer Networking and Internet Technology. And the meeting aimed to help the students to establish learning goals and make a better plan for their study.

CSCSE-SQA HND project is introduced by CSCSE and SQA, which has a good quality of courses system, advanced teaching concept, combination of academic and vocation, and it has been recognized by many universities in the world. Now it has five categories fifteen majors, which cover Business, Computer, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Logistics and Engineering. This project is full time study for three years, while the first year is International Foundation courses, which aimed at improving the students’ English level; and the second and third years mainly focus on major courses. According to the study plan, our college has to hold the major briefing meeting for all the first year students.

In a certain degree, major selection may affect the students’ future. Therefore, they need to have a comprehensive understanding of each major. And most of the students believed they had got more information of each major, especially their employment direction after this meeting, which is good for their career development.
