2014 The International College English Contest was organized successfully by the college and the Student Union in the auditorium B102 of No.2 building on May 28. Many college leaders, teachers and students attended this event, including Zheng Tongtao the dean of the college, Lv Zixuan vice president of the college. Several team leaders and foreign teacher Adam Moran were invited to be the judges of this contest.

This contest was divided into two parts: English drama and answering questions. The supporting rate of the audience present was also added to the total score of each team.

During the contest, all the candidates fully prepared and gave a wonderful performance. They showed their good English language capability and other talents. In the end, the team of 13 London Program obtained the highest scores and won the first place. And Li Xiaoning, the student of 12 Dublin Program won the Best Oral Language Award. All the candidates were very excited and obtained a lot.

This English contest not only provides a valuable opportunity for the students to practise their spoken language, but also encourages them to speak English after class. The dean professor Zheng concluded that for the students it is important to improve oral language abilities and skills, but it is more important to enrich the connotative meaning of the language.
