In the morning of 19th April, “Studying abroad training base” which is founded by both Studying Abroad Service Centre of Ministry of Education of China and Xiamen University was unveiled in Xiamen University. The International College of Xiamen University will take responsibility of training operation. 

In the unveiled ceremony,both Wu Daguang(deputy principal of Xiamen University) and Cheng jiacai(deputy director of Studying Abroad Service Centre of Ministry of Education of China) unveiled for the “Studying abroad training base”. ZhengTongtao, the dean of the International College / Overseas Education College, hostedthis ceremony.

As Cheng jiacai claims, Xiamen University has the advantages of its special background and excellent teaching equipment, insists on revolution and opening door to outside the world, obtains outstanding results in the aspect of international education communication and cooperation. Xiamen University has established well relationship with more than 200 universities all over the world, and 15 Confucius Institute were founded in the areas of North America, Europe, Asia, and Africa.

It is reported that this is the first studying abroad training base in Fujian province, and the eleventh studying abroad training base in China.

In the future, both Studying Abroad Service Centre of Ministry of Education of China and the International College of Xiamen University will develop this training base by insisting on the principle of “ sharing resource and complementary advantages ” together. For our college, we will provide excellent teachers and teaching equipment, import the outstanding overseas resource, bring advanced international teaching mode in,and provide good service for students who tend to study abroad.
