Undergraduate Program of Business of University of London Held the First Learning Salon

On 26th October, the first learning salon was successfully held by the 2010 undergraduate program of University of London in the conference room of International College. The salon was hosted by Mr. Su, the counselor, and Lin Yingting, the teacher in charge of the program. Under the relaxing and dynamic circumstances, the students showed positive attitudes in communication, sharing and proposing suggestions, which indicated their wide learning and enterprising spirits. 

The salon was divided into three parts. At the beginning, Mr. Su provided some advice for the students in their study and life. He emphasized that, although the learning stress of this programs could be greater than others, he still hoped that they can further lay solid foundation for the English study, broaden their horizon and improve their comprehensive ability. 

Then, Zeng Lei, a 2009 undergraduate student who had received basic education abroad, delivered an interesting report on ‘freshmen’s adaptation to the new college life’, which helped a new round of active interaction among the students.

Finally, Miss Lin gave comment on the wonderful report and encouraged the students to pay more attention to the daily accumulation of knowledge and more time on their study, which can gradually help improve their ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Afterwards, students gave their own opinions and showed their determination to study hard.

This successful learning salon has further enhanced the students’ awareness towards their study and strengthened the cohesion among the class.

The Undergraduate program of business of University of London adopts ‘2+2’ school-running mode, which means students have to accomplish two-year study in our college, after they achieve the qualified academic scores, pass the interview of the co-operative schools and get the eligible IELTS score (at least 6.5), they are able to go on with the following two-year study in Queen Mary University of London.
