On the morning of Nov 12, the 56^th Student Track and Field Games of Xiamen University (XMU) Xiang’an Branch kicked off in the first-phase track and field stadium on Xiang’an Campus.

The students and teachers of International College (IC) united and strived in the games. Not only did them win the Sportsmanship Award, they also achieved good results in many competitions. Liao Ruibin won the first place of shot put in the male undergraduate group, breaking the record of the school sports meeting with an achievement of 11.65 meters.

The excellent achievements are inseparable from the sweats and struggle of the teachers and students of the whole IC. Let’s cheer for the athletes and follow the camera to see the style of International Students.

At the opening ceremony, the phalanx composed by IC teachers and 40 students, shouting the slogans, walked towards the rostrum in a powerful and uniform pace with confidence and vitality.

The 10 students participated in the interesting 30-meter kangaroo jump mixed head-on relay, united and cheered for each other and cooperated tacitly and leaped towards the finish line with smile, which fully showed the unity and cooperation of International College.

After the games, students exchanged their feelings and shared their insights on the field.  “This is the first time I participated in the school sports games. It’s very meaningful and will become an unforgettable experience in my school life.”  “I’m very happy to participate in the school sports meeting and fully felt the enthusiasm and unity of everyone. It’s not the rankings of the competition but the participation matters.” “Everyone worked hard and actively participated into the training before the sports meeting. I believe we will achieve better results next year, come on!” “It’s still a pity for me. Before the sports meeting, we expected to get the top three in team events. We will continue to work hard for the better achievements next year!”

 The school sports meeting concluded perfectly after a day and a half of fierce competition. The athletes from IC won rankings in many competitions: Liao Ruibin won the 1^st place in Men’s Shot Put and broke the record of the school sports meeting with a score of 11.65 meters. Zhu Guangzhao won the 3^rd place in men’s 1500 meters and the 6^th place in men’s 5000 meters. Jian Xijia, Zhu Guangzhao, Li Chongxu and Wu Shiwei won the 7^th place in the men's 4*400 relay race. Burning the passion of youth, the true meaning of sports. Let’s applaud for all the contestants. May all of them never stop fighting and forge ahead on the field of life.

International College has a fine tradition of attaching great importance to the sports, regard guiding teachers and students to actively participate in physical exercise, improve physical fitness as a basic work of the college to steadily advance.
