In a concerted effort to strengthen alumni connections, foster collaborative development, and celebrate the upcoming 20th anniversary of International College(IC), Xiamen University(XMU). Ms Yu Hongbo, Dean of the IC led a delegation on a visit to the alumni in Shenzhen from October 14^th to 16^th.

On October 14, Dean Yu and the delegation first visited Sun Xiaoli, Chairwoman of the Shenzhen Alumni Association, XMU. The two sides exchanged views on jointly serving the development of alumni. Subsequently, Dean Yu and Chairwoman Sun met with alumni of the class of 2014 working in Shenzhen. During the warm gathering, Dean Yu introduced IC's recent achievements and future plans, and attentively listened to the alumni's reflections on their work and life in Shenzhen. As a senior alumna, Chairwoman Sun also shared valuable experiences with the younger alumni and warmly invited alumni of IC to join the Shenzhen Alumni Association, XMU, contributing to the honor of the Alma Mater.

On the morning of October 15^th, Dean Yu and the delegation visited Yu Peizhong, President of the Alumni Association of IC, XMU, and held a cordial meeting with alumni from the class of 2006. Dean Yu expressed gratitude for Yu Peizhong's contributions to uniting alumni. Entrusted by Middlesex University UK, the partner institution, Dean Yu presented the "Honorary Alumnus" certificate from Middlesex University to Yu Peizhong. Yu Peizhong expressed his sincere appreciation for the education and training he received from both Xiamen University and Middlesex University, UK.

On the afternoon of October 15^th, Dean Yu and the delegation visited ASKPCB Technology Co., Ltd. to meet with Cheng Songqi, an alumnus from the class of 2018. As the company's Chief Investment Officer, Cheng shared his personal experiences and professional growth during the discussion. Dean Yu encouraged him to continue upholding Xiamen University's motto of "Pursue Excellence, Strive for Perfection" and to aim for outstanding achievements in his career.

This visit further strengthened the connection between IC and its alumni, gathering valuable insights for the successful development of the IC 20^th anniversary series of events. IC will continue to build and enhance platforms for alumni interaction, fostering mutual empowerment between alumni and the college. Together, we will advance collaborative innovation and pursue win-win development for both the college and its alumni.
