Dr. Antony Drew, Vice Dean of School of Business of University of Newcastle, Australia, visited the International College and gave lectures for programme students in Room A405, Kunlun Building.

During the lecture, Dr. Antony Drew introduced the history, settings of specialized subjects, admission and degree awarding, English proficiency and application documents which students care most. Meanwhile, he used a variety of pictures and video clips about campus, to present the colorful campus cultural life in Australian University. Students in the seminar actively showed their interest in studying abroad, especially in Australia. Dr. Drew patiently answers the students' questions.

After the lecture, Prof. Zheng Tongtao, Dean of International College, Huang Guanhua, Vice Dean, and Dr. Antony Drew discussed the recent development of their own sides and reviewed the results of the last meeting. Prof. Zheng expressed that Newcastle University is one of the top ten universities in Australia and is an ideal destination for international institutions to expand overseas cooperative university, while Dr. Drew had done lots of work for the cooperation between two schools, such as course matching, class settings, teacher protection, in the previous discussion. The College is ready to work with the University of Newcastle, and many of the programs can be directly linked to corresponding professions in School of Business.

Dr. Drew said that he was honored to be able to maintain a friendly and cooperative relationship with International College in Xiamen University, hoping to further promote the development of international cooperation projects between the two universities through this visit. After he comes back to Australia, he will pay close attention to the implementation of our undergraduate 2 + 2 and 3 + 1.5, as well as the master-read project cooperation, looking forward that more international college students are able to study in Newcastle University in the future.
