Women’s Volleyball team from the International College won the championship at the volleyball League of Xiamen University on May 15, 2016.

The International College team met the Medical College team at the final. Since the Medical College is also from Xiang’an Campus, they are not new to the International College team. The International College team completed a 2-0 victory over the Medical College in the previous group stages. With the Medical College team ahead 24:18 in the first inning, the International College team turned the match upside down with eight straight points, grabbing the victory with a reversal of 26:24. In the first inning of the final, the Medical College team started moving into the match very quickly, showing their steady defends and attacking talents. On the contrary, the International College team made a series of mistakes, like mistakes during the attacking, mistakes of handling the ball caused by the failure in the first pass, all these dismal forms made the International College team lose 13:25 in the first inning.

During the second inning, the International College team made some quick adjustments to keep them afloat, making the score seesawed until it was tied at 14 to 14. At this moment, No.10 Meiru Fan (Turkish) made the Medical College team get into a difficult situation with her perfect overhand float serves, and finally the International College team started pulling away from the opponent, winning 25:19 in the second inning.

In the decider, the International College girls showed their“can-do”spirit and got a vibrant 8-0start. After changing ends of the playing field, the International College team performed even better, which made them finally beat the Medical College 15 to 2. Thus, the International College team turned the table and beat the Medical College to win the championship with a 2-1victory.
