In the afternoon of May 11, 2016, the dean of The International College Prof. Tongtao Zheng and the deputy dean Mr. Guanhua Huang met the north Asia manager from The International Office of Swinburne University of Technology and his delegation in the reception room of Kun Luan Building. Both sides sincerely discussed and exchanged views on the issue of how to promote and enhance cooperation.

Prof. Tongtao Zheng introduced the situation of the International College on talent development, international cooperation and academic research. He said both the two universities have so good foundations of students training that get the potential of deep cooperation. Then Mr. Hamish Davies briefly introduced the history and development situation of Swinburne University of Technology and said would welcome the students from the International College to study at Swinburne University. During the meeting, the two sides had a fruitful discussion on combined training of undergraduate students and postgraduate students.

Swinburne University was founded in Melbourne in 1908，with 20,000students in the university, including over 7,000 overseas students. There are three colleges in the university: Business College, Science and Engineering College, Health, Art and Design College, involving the area of industrial science, business, computer and IT, design, engineering technology, health of human services, hotel reception and tourism, multimedia, social science and art, visual and performing arts.
