At 1:00p.m. on April 12, the pre-departure meeting for the International College graduates from CSCSE-SQA HND project was warmly held in Kun Luan Building. The teachers from Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange of Ministry of Education, representatives from overseas schools and all the students involved in this projectattended this meeting. This pre-departure meeting consists of three parts: departure preparation, exhibition of foreign schools and visa interview training.

This meeting was held in the multifunctional hall, Ms. Ya Gao from Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange introduced in details the preparation before departure, including visa application, health test, package preparation and registration. She emphasized on the application of British schools and the situation of studying in Britain. Besides, Mr. Yihe Wang and Ms. Xinying Ma from Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange focused on how to apply for American and Australian universities and some notes about relevant procedure.

After the meeting, these foreign universities provided on-site consultation. The universities were invited to the meeting included: BPP University, the University of Central Lancashire, Birmingham City University, the University of Bradford, the University of Huddersfield, the University of Hull, Leeds Beckett University, Middlesex University London, the University of Portsmouth, the University of the West of England, etc. At present, most of the graduates have successfully accepted by foreign universities, so they care more about the detail information of the universities.

In the following visa interview training section, Ms. Ya Gao introduced one by one from the basic information of visa interview, application procedures, frequently asked questions, interviewing skills and mock interview. The aim of the interview is getting to know students’ study plans in Britain. Ms. Ya Gao also mentioned there is no need to be worried about the interview, the best way is to prepare it calmly. At last, Ms. Ya Gao expressed her best wishes for the students’future life.

The students who attended in the event said through the meeting, they have the chance to get access to so much useful information that would help a lot in their future plan. The pre-departure meeting was ended in a heated discussion, let us wish the graduates lots of success in the future.
