On Feb15, Wu Jinxing, Secretary General of Fujian Provincial Education Association for International Exchange (FPEAIE), together with Ji Gesheng, Head of Business Development Department, visited the International College for purpose of international education cooperation.

Professor Zheng Tongtao, Dean of the International College, welcomed and talked with Wu Jinxing. During the meeting, Professor Zheng briefed on the information about the International College. The college currently has a wide range of international joint programs with over 60 overseas universities including foundation, undergraduate 1+3, 2+2, 3+1 and 4+0, and master’s 1+1 program. The college has 1400 existing Chinese students and nearly 1800 overseas students from abroad. The college is ranked among the best in China in terms of both size and teaching quality.

Meanwhile, Mr. Wu introduced the FPEAIE, which is affiliated to the Education Department of Fujian Province, is Fujian’s provincial non-governmental organization conducting international educational exchanges. At present, FPEAIE consists of Fujian Provincial Education Verification Office, Fujian Center For Overseas Studies and Fuzhou IELTS Test Center.

Both parties further discussed the feasibilities of cooperation in various aspects including teacher training, scholarship for overseas students and introduction of advanced vocational qualifications and vocational training systems.

At 3pm Feb18, Ji Gesheng, Head of Business Development Department, visited the college again to discuss the details of cooperation and delegated the responsible person for preparatory work with the International College.
