On the morning of Jan 9, the International College welcomed parents of the first year students to the parent meeting. The meeting is held for purpose of strengthening relationship between school and family by giving parents information on their children’s performance and addressing their questions about second year study plan and study abroad. About 70 percent of parents, 286 in total, attended the meeting.

The parent meeting is conducted in individual class. Prior to the meeting, the college sent invitations to parents 2 weeks in advance and text messages continuously. At meeting, each parent received a profile of their child’s class attendance record, academic performance, and academic requirement for the new year.  The college also arranged for one to one consulting with teachers.

Feedback from parents about the parent meeting is positive. A parent from Shan Xi said he understood better his child’s school life and study and next year’s study plan. He is very pleased with the positive changes to his child within this half year. The parent is satisfied with the environment, facilities, teaching quality and student management. He said he made the best choice after careful comparison of 9 schools even in Beijing and Shanghai.
