On the afternoon of Sept. 25th, the 2015 opening ceremony of InternationalCollege was held in the library of Xiang’an Campus. The college dean Prof. Zheng Tongtao, the Party committee vice secretary Wangyi and Wu Weiping, the associate dean Huang Guanhua, as well as more than five hundred new students and teachers took part in the opening ceremony.

Prof. Zheng welcomed the new students after the national song. He requested the students to adapt themselves as soon as possible to the university study and not to waste time in playing mobile games. Prof. Zheng said: “InternationalCollege insists on providing the best teaching and learning environment for students.” He wished that the college can develop into the best international college in the whole country with the effort of every single individual of the college.

Then the teacher representative Xue Sijia expressed that all the teachers of the college were willing to dedicate themselves to the students; correspondingly, students should be grateful, having independent personality and dreams. He wished them a meaningful life in the university.

The representatives of freshmen and alumna spoke next, exchanging the experience of the university life.

As the end of the ceremony, several scholarships were awarded and the teachers took turns to give speeches.
