From April 2nd to April 8th, Chris Sinclair, director of the English language centre at the University of Southampton, Thom Bull, operation director and Jayne Brown, visited the Intentional College. This one-week-visiting aimed at promoting the progress of setting up the English language centre in Xiamen University, and  enhancing the friendly cooperation with each other.

On the morning of April 2, issues of cultivating students, staffed, curriculum setting, teaching material selection, etc were discussed by deputies of University of Southampton, with vice Dean of our college - Lv Zixuan, director of the office - Huang Guanhua, teachers of English teaching group, and project secretary - Chen Jianru.

On April 8, in the afternoon, our dean professor Zheng Tong tao met the representatives of English language centre at the University of Southampton in B509 conference room of No.2 main building. The the details of setting up the joint English language centre were further implemented .After the discussion, the representative of University of Southampton, and our leadership posed for group photos and visited our newly renovated cafe.
