On April 4th, there were 39 exchange students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic Singapore gathered with our 16 college students(in Dublin project) to have a communication meeting for lunch. During lunch, teachers and students spent a memorable afternoon together.

To enhance bilateral communication and interaction, Chinese students has invited exchange teachers and students from Singapore to participate in the lunch. With the last time’s learning and understanding, it was very friendly to communicate at this lunch. The most Singapore exchange students are Chinese, who may have a certain ability of speaking Chinese and share common Chinese culture. As a result, bilateral exchanges and communications was broad and in-depth, from learning to life, from hobbies to customs...The topics were becoming more and more mutual while the understanding is becoming more and more deeply. Some students even start the game on the table with very fun.

Many exchange students from Singapore, said they felt excited to get to know so many Chinese friends a week before left. Through the communication with Chinese students, they learned a lot information of China, even Fujian’s local customs and characteristics, which greatly broaden their horizons. Our college students were touched by the enthusiasm of the students from Singapore. And they said, Singapore students treated friends kindly and politely. Their language ability was enviable, not only could speak fluent English, Chinese was very good also.

Communications for Chinese students and students in Singapore let the friendship deepened gradually. In the future, the college will continue to strengthen cooperation with Ngee Ann Polytechnic Singapore to further enhance the internationalized brand image of Xiamen university.
