In the afternoon of 24^th of December, representatives from University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) visited the International College of Xiamen University(IC) and discussed the progress of 2013 project and the admission scheme of 2014. Professor Zheng Tongtao, the dean of the IC, MrLvZixuan, deputy dean and Ms Huang Guanhua, director of the office have given a warm reception to all the guests.

Professor Zheng has summarized the situation of the previous IC students going to UCLan and reviewed the history of mutual cooperation. So far, 16 students from IC have studied in UCLan and have been favorably noticed by the university. Besides, both sides have updated the development since this June and have agreed to further the June project. In addition, details such as curriculum setting, entry requirements and staff arrangement have been confirmed. Meanwhile, the further cooperation has also been mentioned.

Today UCLan is one of the UK’s top national universities, one of eight universities with the most abundant funding and one of the top ten teaching-oriented universities. UClan has also been voted as 'Top Modern University in the North West' for many years by The Times. Additionally, UCLan has been recognised in the 2013 Times Higher Education (THE) Awards.The hotel management program, which was prepared to cooperate with our college, was ranked third amongall UK universities by The Times in 2013.
