At 7 pm of December 22nd, the 2013 freshmen welcome party of The Overseas Education College (OEC) / The International College (IC) "new faces, new starting point" was held in B102, Main building 2 in Xiangan campus. Professor Zheng Tongtao, dean of OEC and IC, Chen Zhiwei, party secretary, Wu Weiping,deputy party secretary, Huang Guanhua,director of the office, Liu Wanyu, Secretary of the Communist Youth League, Yang Xiaoyan,party secretary and all the staff and students together have enjoyed a wonderful party. The winter chill did not eliminate the enthusiasm of the audience and the party was filled with happiness.

The opening video included three parts: the time delay photography, timeline pictures and sending wishes. Time delay photography showed the magnificent buildings and beautiful scenery of the Xiang’an campus. The time axis recorded what we have experienced in the past year. Finally, the staff and students sent their best wishes to the audience.

Professor Zheng Tongtao delivered a speech at the party. He praised the excellent performance of the International College basketball team, pointing that sports activities would be further strengthened. Then Professor Zheng and Secretary Chen awarded the honorary certificates for the basketball players who won the basketball league championship.

The party kicks off in the dense drum beats. The band plays "blue”, "88" and other tracks.Passionate tunes ignites the fiery hearts of audience. The following opening dance ‘Turn the Night up’ performed by three boys and girls in blackfurther stimulates the mood.

After the opening dance, the host announces the official start. As the lights are getting warmer, a girl holding a paper fan dances in the melody of “Moonlight". Another eye-opener is the male ballet dancer followed.
In contrast, the song "boring" sung by three oversea students is obviously another style with energetic music and hilarious movement. Meanwhile, Chinese students' dance is unique as well. Performers of ‘All Dance’ have impressed the audience with hot poses, cool mechanical dance and hip-hop.

The music instrument performance of ‘The Rain’ by piano, violin and cello offersaudiences the auditory feast. The pas de deux "Chitty Chitty BangBang”also makes a hit with audiences.

In addition to the dance, skits such as ‘debates’ and ‘teaching Chinese’ also amuse the crowds.
Singing performances always appeal to the audiences. Impressive performances are ‘Miss Dong’, ‘Pamirs, How Beautiful My Hometown is’, ‘Your smile’ and ‘Look at me, girl across the street’. The poetry-reading ‘In the Name of Youth’ reveal students hope for the promising future.

The interactive game ‘You draw, I guess’ has largely involved audience. The stage show ‘Our Secret’is a special showcase as well.
Finally, the party comes to an endin the joyous music “DeeplyAttached to Each Other”.
However, this is not an end but a new starting point for freshmen to welcome a bright future.
