In the afternoon of December 18th, Professor Bashir Makhoul, the vice president of Birmingham City University(BCU), John, the director of the International Office and Cheryl Yu, staff of the International Office paid a visit to the International College of Xiamen University(IC). Professor Zheng Tongtao, Dean of IC and Mr. LvZixuan, vice dean warmly received the guests.

Professor Zheng first congratulated the inauguration of Professor Bashir Makhoul as vice president of BCU and expressed the confidence in the future cooperation. During the conversation, Professor Zheng introduced the relocation of IC and the current situation of Sino-Foreign Cooperatively-Run Programmes in IC. Professor Makhoul, at the same time, introduced the development and the best programmes ofBCU. Both sides agreed to discuss the 2+2 mode for jewelry design, media and computer programmes and meanwhile, propel the 1+1 business programme.

Then, the guests accompanied by Dean Professor Zheng Tongtao and vice dean Mr. LvZixuan visited our college including classrooms, studios, distance education center and other teaching facilities. During the visit, Professor Makhoul spoke highly of the new environment of IC after relocation from Zhangzhou campus.
