Recently, Martin Dyke, vice president of Education School and Dr. Li Chen of University of Southampton visited the International College, the dean, Dr. Zheng Tao Tong, and the director Huang Ganguereceived the guests.

During their visit, Martin Dyke, vice president, Dr. Li Zhen and the director of the education program in the international college discussed the progress of the project, teaching programs, curriculum and other matters. Discussed and decided by both parties, the project will increase teaching practice hours.

Martin Dyke and Dr. Li Chen, vice president, introduced the Southampton urban environment, professional directions and curriculum, student life and academic thesis requirements and other aspects by friendly exchanges to the students of master education program. Dr. Li Chen talked to the project students that they should master English before going to UK to study and also learn how to analyze problems, have good time management.  Martin Dyke also stressed the importance of self-confidence.

University of Southampton and the International College had united since 2008 to recruit graduate education.  Since the project is progressing well, the

students of year 2008should specialize courses for one year, then they will go to study master's program in Education at University of Southampton.

They recommended juniors before going abroad to do more preparation, including the strengthening of language ability and academic ability, broadening their knowledge, understanding the UK education system.
