In order to help freshmen integrate into university study and life as soon as possible, improve mental health , teamwork ability and class cohesion, and create a positive, healthy and harmonious education environment, on the afternoon of October 8, under the guidance of the psychological counseling center of the Department of Student Affairs (Office), Xiamen University, International College held a "Happy cooperation, Flying Youth " psychological quality development activity for freshmen in all-weather stadium of Zhangzhou campus. The activity was led by Luo Jiayong, guest lecturer of psychological quality development, Psychological Counseling and Education Center of Xiamen University. Mr. Luo Jiayong is the founder of Xiamen XinDongLi Education Technology Co., Ltd, senior psychological development trainer and national second-level psychological consultant. All the teachers of the student affairs group of the college and more than 600 freshmen participated in the activity.


The activity began with "different hands clap at the same time", all students lined up and quickly adjusted their status in class as a unit under the clear instructions and positive encouragement of Mr Luo, and clapped out loud and neat applause. In the following activities, the students not only further clarified the rules of following instructions, but also slowly put down their inhibitions into team activities.

In the fish leaping over the dragon gate session, the students of each class lined up to complete the ball rolling relay. Every class of students are involved, many students take the lead in completing the task, running all the way, racing against the clock. The class that was temporarily behind was not discouraged, and still worked together, methodically and persistently until the task was completed, winning bursts of applause.


In the power circle, the students formed a large circle according to the class, holding the rope circle in hand, following the instructions of Mr Luo, and working together to complete a series of collective challenges such as lying down, waving, and drawing the circle. The scene was exciting and brought the whole activity to a climax.


The activity is coming to end, the students is still lingering around. Guo, a student who participated in the activity, said, "Although we were not familiar with each other at the beginning and felt a little shy, we gradually realized the power of the group through the activity and had a lot of fun, looking forward to the opportunity to participate in such group activities in the future."

Gather strength, empower growth. This psychological quality development activity not only stimulates the self-potential of the freshmen, but also enhances the class cohesion, helping the freshmen to face the challenges of study and life with a more confident and optimistic attitude. Through the activity, the students gained friendship and growth, and the activity achieved the expected results. In the future, International College will continue to cultivate students' positive psychological quality as a key task, make overall plans, and promote the construction of a comprehensive pattern of mental health education.
