On the afternoon of April 23, the 2025 Study Abroad Pre-departure Orientation, hosted by Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CSCSE) of Ministry of Education, China and organized by International College(IC) of Xiamen University, was held in Building 4 of Zhangzhou Campus, Xiamen University. The event was strongly supported by CSCSE and nearly 30 foreign partner universities from the United Kingdom, Singapore, Australia, Canada and other countries. More than 300 students attended the orientation.

Tao Tao, dean of IC, He Haitao, vice dean of IC and Ms Dang Yuan, vice general manager of Beijing Yinhong International Education Consulting Co., Ltd came to the exhibition area of foreign cooperative institutes to communicate cordially with the teachers, understand the characteristics of the institutes and the application of students, and thank them for their support.

The teachers of the study abroad working group held lectures for students of IC in Classroom 511, explaining in detail the procedures for studying abroad and the relevant preparations before going abroad, focusing on on-site training for students in terms of visa processing, entry registration, master's application and etc.

After the lecture, the students came to the exhibition area of foreign institutions to communicate face-to-face with teachers from foreign institutions, learn more about their favorite school majors, requirements, accommodation applications, scholarship policy, etc, and clarify their intention to study. The study abroad working group and teachers from foreign institutions patiently answered students' questions, helped them better understand their study and life abroad, and provided professional and meticulous guidance for them to study abroad smoothly. Delegates from partner institutions of various countries also sent their best wishes to International College for its upcoming 20th anniversary celebration.
The orientation was well-organized on-site and students participated enthusiastically. It was highly recognized by delegates of CSCSA and delegates of foreign partner institutions. Over the years, the pre-departure orientation, have continuously provided students with opportunities to closely interact with foreign universities. By providing authoritative information on studying abroad and relevant institution materials, these sessions have helped students precisely plan their study abroad paths, strengthen their preparations before departure, and successfully embark on their overseas study journey.
