In the loud “Parade March”, the 14-day military training for 2014 of Xiamen University successfully called a formal end on Siming campus.

Normal parts were included in this year’s training: the opening ceremony on the first day, the basic military courses training (stand at attention, quick march, goose step and so on) and the final military parade. During this period, students needed to study military skills and national defense knowledge.

As an important teaching method for colleges and universities, this military training not only promotes spirit of patriotism, develops good will and characters, shapes collectivism, but also benefits later learning.

Although very short, the distinctive army life leaves students with long-lasting memories. A large number of students expressed their miss for drillmasters and these 14 days. They said although the training was extremely tiring, they all kept holding on and were proud of themselves. In their hearts, these 14-day training was a significant ceremony in their life, making them grow up. Maybe, just like the common saying, the military training is made up with sweat, but the sweat is actually sweet.
